Smartwatch-integrated monitoring
A mobile app that connects wirelessly to IoT-capable smartwatches and tracks blood pressure, heart rate, SpO₂ and ECG in real time.
Overview
Zentinel is a health monitoring platform built to make wellness tracking intelligent and accessible. It works with IoT wearables to track real-time vitals: heart rate, oxygen levels, blood pressure and ECG.
Sphinx Solutions took it end to end, from device integration and data processing through to the dashboards and the security practices around them.
It is one platform across iOS, Android and web, combining device-ready architecture with an interface a patient can actually read. It gives both consumers and healthcare professionals real-time information and a safe way to share it.
Client Requirement
01
A mobile app that connects wirelessly to IoT-capable smartwatches and tracks blood pressure, heart rate, SpO₂ and ECG in real time.
02
A third-party facial scanning integration that can read key vitals through the camera, so health data is both more accurate and easier to capture.
03
Integration with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission: ABHA ID creation, HIE for sharing medical records, PHR access, and registry connections for hospitals, labs and professionals.
04
Daily health reports, an insights dashboard, alerts and notifications, OCR scanning, subscription plans and secure report downloads.
05
A central web interface to manage users, monitor support operations and watch platform performance.
06
Backend APIs, the admin panel and both mobile apps built under one roof rather than split across suppliers.
There was a gap in digital health: no dependable way to monitor vital signs through a single integrated platform. Existing tools lacked smartwatch compatibility, so people struggled to see their own patterns.
There was also no way to share validated health information with a medical provider inside a recognised ecosystem.
Building something that combined IoT wearables, facial scanning, daily reporting and ABDM/ABHA integration brought real technical difficulty: holding performance on both iOS and Android, building secure APIs, and synchronising health data arriving from several sources at once.
The client needed one partner who could do device connectivity, mobile development and the healthcare software around them, rather than stitching three suppliers together.
We turned the idea of a single health-monitoring environment into a product people could use daily, combining mobile development with the healthcare platform behind it.
The result is a dependable companion for people who had been juggling inconsistent or disconnected health apps.
Sphinx Solutions delivered a connected health platform: smartwatch and sensor integration, facial-scan vitals, daily reports and alerts, ABDM/ABHA connectivity, and a web admin panel, across iOS, Android and web.
“Partnering with Sphinx Solutions was a smooth and positive experience for our team. They understood our vision for Zentinel and delivered reliable, high-quality work, with clear communication, timely updates and a professional approach throughout. Their expertise across healthcare app development and both mobile platforms helped us bring Zentinel to life exactly the way we imagined.”
How We Work
From requirement analysis to deployment, and what each stage settled before the next began.
Step 1
We pinned down what accurate health tracking, smartwatch integration and real-time insight would actually require.
Step 2
A secure, scalable architecture to carry continuous data flow across both mobile platforms.
Step 3
A clean interface that lets someone see and understand their health patterns on any device.
Step 4
Data syncing, activity tracking and personalised alerts, the parts that make the platform useful day to day.
Step 5
Rigorous testing for data accuracy, performance and consistency between the Android and iOS builds.
Step 6
Deployed, then supported with ongoing updates.
Implementation
The four stages the build came down to, from the health modules themselves to the admin system behind them.
We split the project into activity tracking, sleep monitoring and device connectivity, which kept execution clean across both platforms.
Connected the app to smartwatches and health sensors for real-time syncing, on a secure backend that processes and interprets continuous health data.
An admin system the client can run themselves: user activity, data logs and updates.
Reduced loading times, improved the UI flows, and tested on several devices so tracking stays continuous and navigation stays simple.
Impact
Users can see their daily patterns properly rather than guessing at them.
Real-time alerts and continuous monitoring let people act early, which is where preventive care actually happens.
Syncing between smartwatch and phone gives one continuous record instead of two partial ones.
A clean interface and consistent performance on both platforms encouraged people to keep tracking rather than abandon it after a week.
Tech stack
In closing
The Zentinel project turned a plain idea into a health-tracking system that is both reliable and simple to use: precise data handling, device connectivity and an interface that lets people grasp their daily trends. A safe structure and live monitoring meant every feature worked properly on both iOS and Android.
The platform sits on strong backend systems with room to scale, and Zentinel got a complete digital foundation from core functionality through to long-term support.
What people usually ask about Zentinel and about building something like it.
The complete development: app architecture, UI/UX design, backend development, device integration and the mobile apps for Android and iOS.
Yes. We build custom healthcare software and IoT-based mobile applications to a client’s own requirements.
It depends on features, integrations and complexity. On average an IoT app takes 12 to 20 weeks from planning to deployment.
Secure, scalable ones: cloud-based architectures, Bluetooth and sensor integrations, and current frameworks for both Android and iOS.
Yes. Ongoing updates, performance improvements, bug fixes and feature work.
