Sphinx’s Development Model

1. Communication

This is the starting phase where we gather information regarding the business requirements. Project manager, developers, client and all other stake holders’ together conduct a meeting to analyze the need regarding who will use the system and how will they use it. This is followed by creating requirement specification documentation. A special attention is given by client and project managers over here.

2. Planning

The communication that leads to preparing the requirement specification documentation guides us to prepare the system and software design. It is only with this system design we can specify the hardware and system requirement, we are also helped in defining the overall system architecture. After completion of all the above; the system design gives us a clear understanding regarding what to do in the next phase.

3. Implementation

After receiving the system design, to start with coding we divide the work into units. Coding being the longest phase in the entire software development life cycle calls for special focus by the developers.

4. Testing

Testing follows up code development to see how well the product matches with the requirements so that the same fulfills all needs placed during the requirement phase. Here unit testing, integration testing, system testing and acceptance testing takes place.

5. Deployment

Once we have a thorough round of testing done, we are ready to launch. Our support staff ensures that any little tweaks to be done are taken care of even after we launch (4 months after) so that you have the best possible outcome

6. Maintenance

Once customer starts using the developed system, this is where the real problem comes in and calls for action to be taken in solving the same from time to time. In this process we care for the developed product; we name it as maintenance.
