Brizz set out to be the one place an Indian family in Germany could look. Not a general classifieds site, but somewhere a Diwali celebration in Frankfurt, a Telugu film screening in Munich, a caterer, a dance class and a flat to rent all sit side by side, listed by the community and found by it.

Sphinx Solutions built the web platform. The brief was a responsive interface, navigation that needs no explaining, and listing tools good enough for both an individual posting a room and an organisation selling tickets to a thousand-seat event.
Anyone can create an event, list a service or advertise a rental in a few steps. Search runs across categories and locations, so a query narrows to a city or a Kreis rather than returning the whole country.
Underneath it sits a secure architecture built to hold up when a listing goes round a community group and traffic arrives all at once. From registration to listing management, every feature was built for what people actually do with it.

Brizz needed dynamic listings, location-aware search and real-time changes, on a platform that stayed quick while carrying a growing pile of content people upload themselves. A conventional listings site would not have got there.
Content that arrives from the community, in volume and in bursts, and still has to be retrieved in a moment.
Listings on Brizz do not trickle in. An event goes round a community group and the traffic arrives together, which is exactly when a site is most likely to fall over.
The platform also had to be pleasant to browse and simple to post to at the same time. Those two pull in opposite directions, and most listing sites give up one for the other.
On top of that sat the ordinary obligations: safe data handling, smooth navigation and fast retrieval, none of which the visitor should ever have to think about.
