Aarya Club and Resort
The website for a luxury club and resort outside Rajkot. The rooms, the banquet lawns and the spa laid out the way a guest actually chooses between them, with the booking taken on the home page.
Overview
Aarya Club and Resort sits outside Rajkot: a pool between four lit glass pyramids, banquet lawns, a spa and rooms, built for guests who came for a weekend and for families holding a wedding. The place had the experience. What it did not have was anywhere online that showed it.
A website that shows the resort as it looks at night and lets a guest hold a room before they have finished reading about it.
Sphinx Solutions built the site in WordPress. The brief was two things at once: give people the information they come looking for, and make the booking short enough that nobody leaves to ring the front desk instead.
The home page opens on the resort itself, and the check-in, check-out and guest fields sit directly under it, so the enquiry starts before the guest has scrolled.
Everything else is arranged by the reason somebody is visiting. Rooms, the restaurant and play area, celebrations, banquet halls and lawns, and the spa each get their own place in the gallery, with a day and night toggle, because a venue photographed at nine in the evening is not the one people picture at noon.
A resort is bought on the strength of its pictures and booked on the strength of how little friction there is afterwards. Aarya needed a site that did the first without making the second any harder.
Guests, wedding parties and corporate bookers arrive on the same home page wanting three different things from it.
A couple looking at wedding venues, a family booking a weekend and a company booking a banquet hall are all judging the same photographs against different questions. One navigation had to answer all three without turning into a menu of everything.
The photography was the strongest thing the client had, and a template that boxed it into thumbnails would have thrown away the advantage.
And it had to be a site the resort could keep current on its own. Room rates, seasonal offers and new gallery photographs change constantly, and a build that needed a developer for each of them would have gone stale within a season.
We built the site in WordPress, so the resort updates its own content, and shaped every page around the photography rather than fitting the photography into a theme.
The result is a site that sells the place on its own photographs and takes the booking on the same page.
Sphinx Solutions delivered the Aarya Club and Resort website: a WordPress build on the Astra theme with Elementor layouts, room booking through WP Hotel Booking, and a gallery organised by venue with a day and night view. It is live at aaryaclub.in.
“Partnering with team Sphinx proved to be a fantastic journey. Their skilled developers have done a wonderful job for our website. We extend our gratitude to Sphinx for extraordinary website development services and support. Highly recommended.”
Tech stack
What people usually ask about Aarya Club and Resort and about building something like it.
Designing, building and maintaining a site on WordPress, the content management system behind a large share of the web. In practice it covers themes and plugins, theme customisation, the editing tools the client uses afterwards, responsive design, and the updates and maintenance that keep the site secure.
The whole website: the design, the WordPress build, the booking flow and the gallery. It runs on the Astra theme with layouts built in Elementor, and room booking is handled by WP Hotel Booking.
Yes. Check-in, check-out, flexible dates and guest numbers sit on the home page under the hero, so a booking can be started without ringing the resort or leaving the page.
That was the point of building it this way. Rooms, rates, seasonal offers and gallery photographs are all editable by the resort’s own team, which is what keeps a hospitality site current between seasons.
It follows the size of the content rather than the technology. A site of this shape, one resort with a booking flow and a photographic gallery, is a matter of weeks rather than months, and the photography is usually the part that sets the pace.
